Why does diversity in literature matter?

In 2018, research by CCBC discovered that more children's books featured animals (27%) than Black, Latinx, Native, or Asian characters. As stories affect how we live our lives, how we see other people, and how we think about ourselves, it's important to make certain there's adequate and accurate representation.

What type of stories does Zayzay Literary Co publish?

We have a focus on fiction and nonfiction stories that feature BIPOC main characters. Our stories are meant to educate, inspire and provide unique perspectives on the lives of these communities. 

Are you currently accepting manuscripts? I have a story!

We are not accepting manuscripts at the time. However, keep your eyes open for announcements in the future.

Do you have opportunities to partner?

Yes. However, we're only accepting online/virtual opportunities at this time.
